The honorable Inspector-General of Police is the Chairman of the Police Officers' Mess of Bangladesh Police. The CMP Officers' Mess was established in 1978 with a view to facilitating accommodation and fulfilling the recreational needs of police officers who serve as ASP or above that rank. The police officers, who are serving in different units of all districts in Bangladesh, have to visit Chattogram for discharging their official responsibilities. The CMP Officers' Mess provides all possible supports to the members and their families during their staying period in Chattogram. After the establishment, the activities of this CMP Officers' Mess were conducted in the old buildings till 2017. Subsequently, the rooms and other facilities of the newly constructed mess building were refurnished for increasing the comfort of the members. At present, there are total 54 rooms including 7 VIP suits, 37 double bedrooms and 10 single bedrooms from 2nd to 8th floor of the mess building. Now the mess services are being offered and the provision of 2 lifts has been kept in the building for future use. The officers' dining and community halls are on the 1st floor. Saloon, Laundry, card room, health club, Jacuzzi, baby corner and juice bar are on the 9th floor. The members are availing the above facilities from the CMP Officers' Mess utilizing modern software developed by ChandrimSoft.
